Minoo-All the World (Remixes)

Thursday, May 10th, 2012

Mad-Hop is proud to present :

“Minoo – All The World (Remixes) ” Five tracks of remixes by producers from different parts of world.

Pixelord (Russia) Alexey Devyanin. He’s a Moscow-based veteran of experimental music, best-known for his Gultskra Artikler moniker. When we got to know that his new project is about BEATS, it was instantly clear that is has to be groundbreaking great. His debut four-track EP “Lucid Freaks” brings forth a mixture of spliffed-out 8bit riddims, stumbling Hip Hop beats and a pinch of Euro Dance glam. However unique, the weirdo plastic Pop of Glasgow’s Hudson Mohawke is echoed in his tunes as well as bass-driven digital Reggae, Jahtari-style.

Grillo (Italy) Born in a coastal town in Italy with a light skin tone Grillo found himself pretty much the only kid at the beach getting constantly sun burnt and scorched. These early recordings were a mix of old Italian  folksingers, video game soundtracks and long religious sermons from grandma’s collection of C-90s. Today, in addition to regularly collaborating with local rap acts, left-field electronics projects and rogue indie movie crews Grillo crafts his own blend of music consisting of crusty beats, vintage samples, 8-bit bleeps and field recordings: sounds like recycled crap yet an original voice somehow emerges from it all.

Himuro Yoshiteru (Japan) An electronic producer and DJ from Japan.Himuro’s first album Nichiyobi was released in 1998 by the English record label Worm Interface, alongside artists like Tom Jenkinson (Squarepusher) and Freeform. His releases are mostly within the electronic music genres of drum and bass, Electronica, Hip hop and Braindance, with a significant jazz influence .His style is often described in the media as very playful. It consists of finely chopped, fast rhythms in combination with jazzy bass and synthesizer lines and 8bit sounds (like video game music). In this area he is one of the prominent Japanese musicians of this time.

Tom Bednarczyk (Poland) Since 2004 he has been writing compositions presenting new pop  qualities through his fragile sounds. Until then, he has recorded three albums for the world-recognized ambient labels such as 12k or Room40. In the second half of 2011 Tom Bednarczyk is back with new deep house material kept in chilly and minimal aesthetics. Also establishes its own record called We Are Your Music Mate, which focuses on the issue of house, deep or minimal music.

Oknai (Slovenia) Got his rep mostly from his chopped up Ableton live sets, often referred to as clip chop. His first EP Ain’t a Dream is a record of raw, lo-fi drums, sometimes dreamy other times aggressive synths, sampled fragments from all over the place and unique arrangements all tucked someplace between glitchop, hiphop, IDM and the other…

The artists have prepared an excellent travel through the land of sounds. each remix is representing their variety of styles and showing off their skills. get ready fore more! this free release is promoting the up coming album on vinyl, which will be Mad-Hop´s first physical release! the album will feature some interesting artists and collaborations exploring the wide and joyful field of experimental hiphop. we hope you will enjoy this fine release, which is available for free.

Amazing stuff came from England’s finest, Alphabets Heaven (ENG) with his alien production and Ambassadeurs (ENG) that gave us goosebumbs over his track “M.O.P.E”. Miqi O. Huey Newton (FR) remixed “Gak” from Huess (USA) and gave us lazy snare hit at the back of a neck that is simply unforgettable.  Parallel Concept (BUL) went some place deep and created “Buckyball molecule”. Laser synth invasion by Jakub Nox Ambroziak (PL) who gave us “Proton decay” was remixed by Stendek (PL) and we went “Virtual l” with the man himself Powell (FR). Cex – Megamuse

Thursday, January 27th, 2011

Tracklist:
1. Megamuse
2. Secret Monog (Baconhead Remix)
3. Secret Monog (Fulgeance Remix)
4. Trumpetflower (Scrubber Fox Remix)
5. 12exalt (Raoul Sinier Remix)
6. Megamuse (Kingbastard Remix)
7. Princent vice
8. Megamuse (Video edit)

Megamuse is a sexy beast of spaced out IDM/Hip-Hop sped up and played at 11, pumping out Dr. Dre style Cali-love synth melodies over meaty double-time Baltimore club hi-hats and a laid-back 808 groove. While most of his contemporaries were busy installing new plug-ins or trying to make Dubstep, Cex dug deep into his freakiest electrofunk roots to create a whole new musical vocabulary to speak with, born from long nights jamming with high-end FM synths driven by step sequencers and freestyle MPC blasting.

Stellar remixes come courtesy of next level beatmaker Fulgeance (Musique Large, All City, One Handed Music, Eklektik Records), post-wobble futurebass duo Baconhead (Ebola & Autobee-Acroplane), illustrator/musician/genius Raoul Sinier aka RA (Planet-Mu, Ad Noiseam, Sublight), and up and coming electronica/IDM whiz-kids Kingbastard (Herb) and Scrubber Fox (The Centrifuge, Merck, Skam).
